Emotional Rollercoaster Reads

Have you ever read a book that was a rollercoaster for your emotions?

I seem to find my favorite books through how they made me feel rather than the way they were wrote.  An author can write a very informative, grammatically flawless story, but if someone does not look at me and think “What the hell is wrong with this [insert emotional action] idiot?” -then it will not be something that sticks with me through the years.  It will be another book that sits on my shelf that I will end up forgetting what it was about in a few months.  However, the ones that make me laugh out loud or cry so much that I look like a blubbering idiot, those are the stories that will last a life time for me.  One specific story that I will remember is All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven  .

The novel was a beautifully heart braking story about two people trying to find themselves with each other while learning to not just survive life, but live it.  At least, that it how it starts.

Honestly, I cannot say much about the story.  I still find my self at a loss of words for how much it meant to me.  If you have never read this book, I definitely suggest you do.  But I am warning you now, grab a box of tissues.  I hope you love it as much as I do.

Are there any books that take you on an emotional rollercoaster?  If so, let me know! You do not have to ride that ride alone.
